Random meeting [Tag: Odette]

Eric decided to know better the town during the morning. The horses could waith for him till afternoon, but what he was doing and he didn't want to admit was that he was avoiding Cinderella the best he could do.

Odette had snuck away once Phoebus had left and was now on foot headed for the town square. She was wearing one of the dreses she had managed to get from her house the other day. She was relieved to be out but knew if Phoebus ever found out she had left...again he wouldn't be happy.

Eric was absently minded and almost got a girl bumping on him. He stepped back, and chuclked... ''I'm sorry, milady. I wasn't looking where I was walking'' He smirked looking at her.

Odette looked up at the man in front of her and smiled gently, "Oh its all right, I wasn't paying attention either. I've just had a lot on my mind." She admitted with a little laugh.

''I see...'' He said softly... ''You should be worried about the ball, right?'' He looked down to his feet. He had a lot in his head too, but nothing involving the ball.

Odette frowned, "Well I haven't actually thought that much about it, I'm more worried about other things." She admitted with a sad smile.

''Same here.'' Eric sighed ''I'm new here, and I was wanting to know the town a little more... may you walk with me?'' He asked gently, and offered his hand.

Odette glanced down and then accepted his hand, "All right do you want a little tour or do you just want to walk and talk?" She asked.

Eric though for a moment. ''Perhaps both.'' He chuckled, and put her arm around his... ''I just want to forget about my troubles for a while'' He said with a sheepishly smile and started walking.

Odette shrugged, "Well my name is Odette and I am an only child....I grew up here in Nirethia." She said with a little smile.

''I'm Eric... I was a bastard until last night, and now I have a uncle and cousin'' He said with a small laugh. ''I've only met the gates, and the tavern... Is there any other nice place in here, Odette?'' He changed the topic.

Odette frowned, "Well that depends, where have you been so far?" She asked, having a feeling that Eric hadn't exactly been happy meeting his uncle....whoever he was.

''Only the tavern and the castle... I've walked briefly by the graveyard, and the streets leading to the castle...'' He shrugged and looked at her.

Odette bit her bottom lip, "Have you been to the harbor? Its a good place to think when you have a lot on your mind." She said

''No, I haven't been there...'' He said, and then he blushed a littele. ''I think I would like to go there, I've always wanted to see the ocean''

Odette smiled, "Well good I'll take you there." She said and started to lead him towards the harbor.
