Watching around (tag:Odette)

John walked towards the gates and decided to take a watch around, he had a free time by then and decided to make it the most productive, in that case would be watching around in order to see that there were no troubles or anything. After the gates he would make sure to go more into town to take a watch there too.
He rest his back and right leg in a wall as he crossed his arms, looking to the right and left, looking at the people walking near, nothing much to do.

Odette was walking around and smiled when she saw a handsome blonde man in armor, she watched him scan the area and decided to approach him. "Find what you're looking for?" She asked him as she smiled up at him.

(( ooc: For her sake I hope not - lol kidding ))

John turned to the voice and raised her eyebrows in surprise of the pretty lady that approached him, he made a slight curtsy in respect of the lady, "Well I guess so far yes milady, today seems a peaceful day don't you think?" he said with a small smile.

She smiled, "Indeed it is, so how long have you been on duty?" She asked with interest.

John raised an eyebrow, "Today? well, about a few minutes, but I haven't seen any trouble around during the day, so I guess that's good" he said as he looked at the lady, "May I ask your name milady?"

She smiled again, "I'm Odette and you are?" She asked as her smile widened, he seemed like a nice man.

"John Smith at your service Odette" he introduced himself nodding his head, "And what brings a young lady like you around the Gates of town?" he asked in a gentle way.

Odette smiled at John, "Just walking and enjoying the view." She said with a laugh.

John raised her eyebrows and looked around, "Yeah it's quite beautiful...are you enjoying what you see?" he asked with a small smile.

She smirked, "I might be, after all it is a beautiful day." She said and also cast a glance around her current surroundings.

John looked around too but this time in order to see if there wasn't any trouble around, it didn't seem anything, "I must agree with you Odette, calm days like this are really precious indeed" it is by now that he began to start thinking on how to get along in a conversation, since he was a kid no one really cared to have one with him, he began to look for subjects, "So, may I ask what do you do in here? I mean as a job...if you work...I'm not saying that you don't look like you don't work, because you don't, ugh" he then passed his fingers through his eyes, "I'm not making any sense am I?"

She laughed, "You are making sense and to answer your question, no I don't have a job but I am trying to find one. So do you enjoy being a soldier? I mean you must see a lot of crime right?" She asked curiously.

John laughed too and then raised his eyebrows, "Soldier? what do I look that inappropriate?" he asked considering he was quite humble, "Now, now there is a difference between being a soldier and being a knight milady" he added softly.

Odette laughed and then blushed apologetically, "My apologies Sir John, I did not realize I was adressing you incorrectly. Will you forgive me?" She asked quietly, she had respects for knighta as her own father had been one.

John looked at Odette and noticed her blushing, he could't help but smile friendly towards her, "There's nothing to forgive milady, really" he said softly and concluded with a theory, "I wouldn't blame you after all it must be the way I dress"

Odette shook her head, "Actually it was the fact that you were guarding the gates...kind of a soldier's duty. And please don't refer to me as millady....I'm no lady." She said bluntly.

John chuckled thinking that she was right, "Yeah that's kind of the soldier's duty" he said with a grin, "But well, taking a small watch will not hurt now will it?" he said kind of a sneaky way as he continued listening to Odette. "I must say to ask your forgiveness now, if I offended you in any way by calling you milady is just my simple thought, I consider all women a beautiful lady so I call them milady to show my respect" he explained himself nodding slightly.

Odette shook her head, "You didn't offend me...its just I'm unused to hearing myself referred to as one." She admitted with a shy smile.

John looked at her quite curious but smiled again, "Well, is calling you Odette better than milady?"

Odette smiled and nodded, "Much better and should I call you sir or Sir John perhaps?" She asked with a light teasing note in her voice.

John looked at the ground trying not to laugh for her teasing voice, he then faced the girl, "Which ever makes you feel comfortable, although John is alright, you don't really have to add sir just because you don't call me by it doesn't mean it's not my title" he said giving a friendly wink towards Odette.

She laughed, "Well then John its a pleasure to meet you." She said warmly and moved to stand next to him, "May I join you?" She asked

"Pleasure it's entirely mine Odette" he said by making a slight bow towards the blonde, "Yes you may, are you planning on helping me watching around?" he asked almost in a joke tone of voice.

Odette just laughed, "Perhaps I am and I always wondered what being a guard was like." She said as she smiled up at him.

John looked at Odette and couldn't help but to laugh too, "Well it looks not so bad, I mean look at that couple of soldiers there, they seem to fall asleep at any second" he guessed.
