What Is and What Should Never Be... [Tag: Odette]

If someone looked at the sky it could easily say that it was going to snow very soon. The morning broke cold, and Marina ws freezing in bed when she woke up. She put John's robe upon her nightdress, it was warm and smelled like him, and then she walked to Damon's room.

She stopped by the crib and smiled down to him, he was more quiet than she imagined he would be, and she gently held him into her arms and sat on the rocking chair to feed him. After she was done, Damon got all sleepy again, and she started rocking the chair slowly and hummed her old lullaby.

One of the new maids showed and Marina asked for John, the maid say what she needed to know, and Marina asked for her to light the fireplace''Gracias*'', she said softly to her as she walked out of the room, leaving Marina alone with Damon.

Odette had headed towards Marina's place feeling cold but just hoped that Marina was all right. After knocking on the door she waited for the maid to open it, "May I speak with Marina Dalmar please?" She asked softly. The woman looked her up and down before letting her inside, "One moment please." She said before she turned and left.

Damon cooed softly on her arms, he blinked a few times up to her before finally closing his eyes and falling far asleep into her arms. Marina smiled, finhing her lullaby and gently kissed his forehead before laying him down on his bedding. She was closing the door of his room softly when one maid came to talk to her.

''Lady Marina, there is a woman downstairs wanting to talk to you'', she said blankly. ''Did she said her name?'', Marina asked softly, wraaping the robe around her waist.

''No, but I think that it's that lady from the night Lord Rolfe went cra--'', Marina shot her a severe glance that made she stop talking, and shyly the woman bowed and went back to her duties. Marina walked towards the stairs and smiled brightly seeing Odette, ''Hi, how are you darling?''

Odette smiled at Marina and then gasped when she saw the baby bump was now absent, "Oh Marina, are you ok?! What happened? Is the baby all right?" She asked with worry.

Marina walked downstairs and pulled Odette into a hug, and led her towards the living room. ''Damon happened, I gave birth to him two nights before, and we are all okay'', she said softly with a bright smile upon her face.

[Don't worry dear! Have a lot of fun in Vegas! ]

Odette gasped and then hugged her, "Oh I am so happy to hear that Marina, and you are recovering well?" She asked.

''Thank you, Odette. I'm recovering very well, and Damon... Oh, he's so perfect, he looks like John'', Marina smiled with a small whisper, and walked to the bar, to fix herself a drink... ''Do you want some wine?'', Marina offered looking back to Odette.

Odette smiled warmly at her, "I am glad to hear it Marina and yes wine sounds great thank you." She said gently and movd to join her friend.

Marina finished her drink and made another for Odette. She handed the blonde her her glass of wine and sat on the chair by the window and took a sip from her drink. ''Oh, how I've missed this'', she giggled, taking another small sip from her drink.

Odette giggled, "I can only imagine." She said sympathetically and then tipped her glass against Marina's own, "To baby Damon." She said gently.

''To Damon'', Marina answered and giggled again before drinking from it. ''So, tell me, what's happened to you since we've last met'', she asked gently and crossed her legs while she leaned slightly on her seat and patted on the chair by her side to Odette take a seat too.

(Ohh sorry yes I did walk a lot annd no I haven't seen Bri DX)
Odette gave a dry laugh and moved to sit next to Marina, "Honestly not much....well Phoebus dropped by to visit me. That was...interesting to say the least." She admitted as she took another gulp of wine.

''He visited you?'', Marina asked softly, ''Hmm, how were things with you? I hope he was nice to you'', Marina said simply. She heard of him going to the tavern often to get drunk, she hoped the Captain didn't do anything bad to Odette.

[DX That's bad... But that's nice you walked a lot, visit many places?? :3]

(Went to a lot of casinos XDD annd after this post might get off to go nap or something )
Odette sighed, "We had another fight...he always has to be right...even when he's wrong, I clearly am a failure. Or at least I come away feeling like one...why are men so difficult?" She asked out loud.

[Haha, how fun! Have you visited the cassino from 'The Hangover'? Sure, go on and take a nap!]


''You are really asking me this?'', she laughed in a joke manner, ''And they say, we women are difficult... I just hope Damon takes my temper, one John is enough, don't you think?'', she giggled and looked down to her lap.

Odette laughed and shook her head , "I would have to agree with you on this." She said

Marina looked down to her lap for a moment. She might had laughed with Odette, but suddenly she felt a little melancholy. She sipped a little from her drink, and asked Odette, ''So, what you and the captain did at his visiting? Did you talked about you?'', she showed a sincere interest. Marina knew they didn't end well, so she wished they had worked out between them.

Odette sighed, "Not much...we just talked and then argued and then talked again, he also slept on the couch to make sure I would be safe." She said quietly. She took another sip of her wine and rubbed the back of her neck, "I feel like a little kid sometimed." She admitted with a bitter laugh.

Marina smirked, sometimes she also felt like a little child, she shook her head, and let it go. She rested her empty glass on the bar beside her and put her hands upon her lap as she looked up to Odette again. ''I know the captain can sound a little brute, but I also know he cares about you, treating like a child, making sure you are okay it's the way he has to show his feelings'', she said with a small smile.

Odette sighed and rubbed her forehead, "Well yeah...I just wish he wadn't such a jerk about it." She said quietly.

Marina chuckled, but then she bit her lip, ''This discussion you have, it was something serious, or just a silly talk?'', Marina asked softly.

Odette bit her lip, "It was slightly serious." She said quietly and then took another gulp of wine, "Just my luck I guess." She said lightly.

Marina gave Odette a sympathetic smile and leaned over to Odette. Having a seriuos arguing wasn't good at all... ''I hope that someday you and the captain, work out, and stop having these serious arguing every time you'll see each other...'', she said sincerily.
She leaned back and crossed her hands over her lap, noticing how cold they were. She bit her lip when a thought crossed her mind... She has been having some nightmares about it, twice since Damon was born, but she didn't want John to worry about it. ''Odette... You know Joseph Korso quite well, don't you?'', she asked carefully. Maybe Odette could help her figuring out why Joseph let her live that day at Hercules'.

Odette frowned and bit her lip as she remembered Joseph mentioning that he had run into Marina, ".....Yes, why?" She asked quietly.

''If-if...'', he stopped and took a deep breath, ''What are the chances he would let somebody live, if he had the chance of killing instead?'', she asked shyly.
