The Beginning of The End

Odette shook her head, "Men." She muttered with a small smirk and then frowned, "You didn't rape her did you?" She asked as she ate a piece of her omelette.

''I... I don't remember almost anything after it... But the few I remember the woman was enjoying... So'', he said with a small smirk and drank more from the cider.

Odette coughed and had to take a few sips of her drink, "Wow...bit too much information there Eric." She said once she got herself back into control.

Eric chuckled softly, ''Sorry, I forgot who I was talking to'', heshook his head. He took some moreofthe food, ''This is delicious,thanks'', he tried to change the topic.

She nodded, "You're welcome...least I can do I guess." She said quietly as she continued to eat her food. She glanced up at him and then back down at her plate, "So how did you know I needed help?" She asked quietly.

He swallowed before answering her, ''I was passing by and saw your horses. I knew something was wrong because of their behavior, so I decided to check inside the house, and then I found you.'', he said calmly, looking at her while he took the last food from his plate.

She finished her food as well and bit her lip, "I'm grateful you came in when you did...even though at the time I wasn't." She admitted darkly as she picked up her glass.

''You're welcome...'', he said softly and took his glass into the hands... ''I only hope you never do something like that again''

She looked down and away from his gaze, "I won't....never again." She said quietly, meaning each word as she said them.

''I hope so...'', he said with a serious voice and drank the rest of his cider. Then he took the dish from the table and went to the kitchen where he started cleaning it.

She watched him get up and bit her lip before she drank the rest of her cider and followed him. "I can wash the dishes, you know?" She pointed out as she grabbed her plate.

''You're going to pack what you need before I take you to Esmeralda'', he pointed, ''I can't watch you forever, even if I wanted'', he said with a grin and took her plate to clean it as well.

She shook her head, "Fine." She said with a shake of her head before she turned to leave. She didn't have much to pack anyway but the few things she had, she cherished.

Eric finished washing and walked back to the couch while he waited for Odette to get ready...

Odette came back out carrying a small bag that held her assassin's uniform and equipment along with a few other dresses and some essentials. She headed over to him and lightly nudged his leg with her foot, "You ready to go?" She asked quietly.

''Yes, let's go...'', he said softly and walked towards the door. He smiled and said, ''Ladies first''

She sighed and walked past him to head towards the stables, she bit her lip as she saw both Angus and Honey. She put her bag down and stroked Angus's mane before she got his saddle ready and took care of him by brushing his back and putting the saddle blanket on. After that she put the saddle on and then got his bridle and slid it over his head. "You're a good boy huh?" She asked quietly as she petted him again.

Eric followed her at the stablesand watched her with a little smile, ''Of course he's a good boy. He and this little girl here saved your life'', he said as he walked next to Honey and patted her neck, ''They are both great animals, Odette''

She nodded, "They've always been extremely loyal to me." She said softly as she glanced over at Eric. She sighed, "I was lucky to find them." She said and patted Angus one last time on the neck.

''It's great when you find such good animals like you have, Odette... Are you leaving Honey here?'', he asked with some concern, seeing Odette only seating Angus to the ride.

She sighed, "I would bring Honey...but I can't ask Esme to help me take care of both animals. Besides I can always head over here and take care of her when I have too." She pointed out.

Eric sighed, not sure if he should be that good to Odette in one day, ''If you don't mind, I can take Honey to the royal stalls and take care of her... You could see her whenever you want, and I won't need to follow you by foot to Esmeralda's'', he said with a small grin as he patted Honey's nose.

(muahaha Jim would see Honey too and it would make him wonder XDD)
Odette bit her lip, "Is that really ok with you? I mean won't you get in trouble?" She asked with some concern as she studied him.

Eric shook his head... ''Don't worry about it. We have a stable just for the people who came with Cinderella, if anyone asks I'll say I bought and they'd leave us alone...'', he said with a small shrug.

Odette smiled, "Thank you...I would really appreciate that." She said as she looked down, as relief filled her. She had been slightly worried that she wouldn't be able to properly take care of Honey but now she felt much better.
