Making New Friends [AU; Tag: Rapunzel]

{So in this fic, Al and Naveen never met and Naveen is actually straight. Also, sorry for the lame title.}

Naveen walked through the town with his hands in his pockets and whistling a cheerful tune. Everything seemed the same since he had left. Sure, it had only been two years, but it was like nothing had changed. Not even the one thing he had wanted to change. He did a hop, skip, and a jump along his way, forcing himself to not think about what had started to creep into his mind. He continued through the square absently looking at the shops he passed, when he suddenly stopped and looked back at one, one that had the most amazing smell coming out of it. He dug into his pocket and counted the coins he had in it, and smiled a small, hopeful, crooked smile as he walked into the bakery.

*Rapunzel turns her head, greeting the man that walked in as she smiles brightly* Hello there! What can I get for you today, sir??

"Sir?" Naveen questioned, raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at the blonde who had spoke, a hint of a laugh in his voice. He took in the blonde's appearance, smirking a bit as he saw just how long her hair was. "Hm..." He hummed as he brought his hand up to his chin and tapped his fingers on it, in a "thinking" pose, and looked around the shop. "What would you recommend?" he asked, looking back at the blonde with a charming smirk on his lips, his eyebrow still raised playfully.

*Rapunzel gives a small laugh as the man questions her honorific to him; as she watches him think, she pushes a few locks of hair from in front of her face to behind her ear as she smiles brightly; she tilts her head a bit and bites her lip thoughtfully as she tries to decide herself what to recommend for the customer; she looks up to him and giggles* Well...there are some fresh made Eclairs that I just took out from the refrigerator a few minutes ago! Maybe you'd like some of those? Unless you want something...warm??

Naveen chuckled quietly as looked briefly down at his feet, not sure if the girl understood how that offer could be taken. He looked back up at her, but not all the way, just peaking through his eyelashes. "Warm huh?" he asked, his voice seductive, as he walked up to the counter so that he was just across from the young woman. "We still talking about bread?" he asked with a smirk, raising an eyebrow, looking up fully at her again.

*Rapunzel blinks a little in surprise at his response; she giggles* I feel like you're coming onto me, sir.

Naveen laughed with her, she really had an adorable laugh, and leaned forward on his arms onto the counter while he kept his eyes on the girl in front of him. "Oh no. Not at all," he said, a friendly smile on his lips as he shook his head. "But...If you're offering?" he smirked mishcievously, raising an eyebrow suggestively and reaching out to take one of the blonde's hands with his, rubbing it softly with his thumb.

*Rapunzel blinks and raises an eyebrow, a little surprised by her forwardness* And...what is it you have in mind, hm?

"Something warm?" Naveen said with a shrug, looking over his shoulder and then back at the blonde with a smirk, eyebrow still raised playfully. "Like eating some delicious bread and talking," he said enthusiastically, standing back up and releasing the girl's hand, and then crossing his arms across his chest as he smiled brightly at the girl.

*Rapunzel looks a bit surprised before she smiles widely and subconsciously bounces from excitement* Alright then!! That sounds like a fun idea!

Naveen chuckles quietly as he shakes his head, his face to the ground, marveling at the girl's excitement, before he looked back up at her with a friendly crooked smile on his face. "Well then. I'll take a couple of those Eclairs you offered," he said, smoothly reaching into his pocket and taking out enough money to pay for two Eclairs and then reaching out to take the blonde's hand again and lightly placing the coins in it, all the while smirking charmingly up at her. He wrapped her fingers around the coins and held her hand in both of his for a second before gently releasing it so she could take the money and get the pastries.

*Rapunzel gives a small smile as she walks off to get the Eclairs; once she gets them, she walks back over to Naveen happily and hands him the pastries, all wrapped up* Here you are sir. *she gives him a small wink and giggles*

Naveen shakes his head and chuckles lightly as the girl winks at him and calls him 'sir' once more. He reaches out and lightly takes the pastries from the blonde, arranging them so that he held both in one hand, before reaching out and taking the young woman's hand and escorting her around the front counter and over to a small table by the window to the store. "Mademoiselle," he says playfully, a boyish, crooked grin on his lips as he lead her to one of the chairs and bowing slightly. "I do not believe I introduced myself," he said as she sat and he set the pastries on the table. "I am Naveen," he bowed playfully, looking up to meet the girl's eyes.

*Rapunzel giggles and squeezes the man's hand* I'm Rapunzel. *she smiles* It's very nice to meet you, Naveen!

Naveen smirks kindly and bends his head lower hearing the girl giggle and then introduce herself. "It is a true pleasure," he said seductively, leaning down to kiss Rapunzel's knuckles, keeping his eyes on hers. Once his lips left her hand, he gave her hand a light squeeze and then moved to sit in the the chair across from her. "Rapunzel huh? That is a very unique name," he said casually as he slowly lifted the pastry he had set on the table and looked it over, intrigued, before bringing it to his lips and taking a good size bite. "Mm! This is delicious," he exclaimed with his mouth full, covering it with on hand, and smiling through the food in his cheeks playfully at Rapunzel.

*Rapunzel smiles* Thank you! It's...German for a...type of herb... *she giggles a little nervously and blushes; she never thought about her name but when she presented it to people, she couldn't help be a little flustered; she beams as Naveen takes a bite of the Eclair* I'm so glad you think so!!! *she giggles before grinning as she takes a napkin and dabs some cream off his cheek* I wonder how that got there.. *she chuckles to herself and gives a wink*

"Well it's beautiful," Naveen said kindly with a crooked smile after he finished chewing his first bite. "And this," he exclaims, holding up the Eclair as if it's some rare, precious treasure. "This is wonderful," he smiled playfully down at Rapunzel, a light laugh in his voice. He then watches the blonde has she comes closer with a napkin and he smirks before he pushes he cheek out over exaggeratedly towards her, his lips pursing together. "I was just saving some for later," he joked with a shrug and a light laugh as he turned his face towards her again.

*Rapunzel blushes lightly, this time from flattery as she giggles* Thank you so much. *she laughs and sits across from him in a chair* Is that so? Well you could always just...ask for another you know?

Naveen took another bite of his pastry, smiling smugly, making sure to get plenty of cream on his nose and around his mouth. "Nah. I like my method," he said once he had chewed and swallowed most of what he had had in his mouth. He then took his index finger and wiped off some of the cream from his cheek, looking at it intrigued before licking it off his finger happily, and then laughing as he grabbed a napkin and wiped off the rest of his face. Then suddenly his face grew serious, and he looked like he was offended by something. "Hey hey hey. Something's not right here," he said looking at the table, brow furrowed. "You haven't eaten any of your Eclair," he said with a boyish grin as he looked up and pointed at the pastry in front of Rapunzel.

*Rapunzel blinks in surprise before she laughs and takes the Eclair* Right right! I'm sorry! Where are my manners?? *she takes the pastry and bites into it slowly, licking whatever was left on her mouth when she was finished*

Naveen sat back in his chair and smiled proudly as he looked down at Rapunzel. "Very good," he commanded, his smile pulling up a bit more at the corner of his lips. "Oh. Wait," he said as he leaned forward and looked at Rapunzel's nose intently. "You have a little something...Riiiight..." he started to say quietly, bringing his finger up to point at Rapunzel's face. "There," he said as he brought up his Eclair with his other hand and dabbed some of the cream on her nose, and then leaning back and laughing lightly, a large, bright grin on his face.

*Rapunzel blinks in surprise and looks cross-eyed down at her nose* Clever... *she giggles before leaning her entire face over to Naveen and rubs her nose against his* Aw, you've got some too.

Naveen smirked as he worked to hold back his laughter as Rapunzel leaned over and rubbed some of the cream on her nose onto his, watching their noses and then looking up at Rapunzel with amusement. "I can get that for you if you want," Naveen cooed seductively as he moved himself to sit on the edge of the chair, setting his Eclair down and resting his arm on the table. He moved his face so that it was only a few inches away from Rapunzel's, still smirking, and his eyes locked on hers.

*Rapunzel's eyes get slightly wider as she shifts her eyes around; her soft blush appears on her cheeks* You sure this'll get it...?

"Oh, I'll be very thorough," Naveen crooned, his face now just under an inch away from Rapunzel's. He leaned his head forward just a bit and lightly kissed Rpaunzel's nose, keeping his eyes with hers. He leaned back briefly, a gentle smirk on his lips, to gauge her reaction, before he leaned in again, this time licking her nose lightly until he got off the cream from it. "You are delicious," he crooned as he leaned back a bit, resting his arm on the table again and picking up his napkin to wipe off his own face, never taking his eyes away from Rapunzel's, and all the while smirking gently.
