Just Exploring (Tag Melody)

Eilonwy wasn't sure if she was actually allowed in the armory or not, but there wasn't exactly a sign that said "Keep Out" or "Knights Only," so she figured that she wouldn't get into any trouble. But she couldn't help but feel a little guilty as she made her way inside. For some reason, Melody had wanted to meet her here, and Eilonwy wasn't sure if she was allowed in here either. But who was she to question the princess? It was her duty to obey her commands, after all. She looked around with awe at all the weapons surrounding her: swords, crossbows, maces. She curiously poked the flat edge of a sword blade, admiring how it shone in the light. "Wow," she breathed. "This place is amazing."

Melody was tip-toeing in as then she heard someone speaking, she couldn't hear what the person was saying. She got closer then she saw Eilonwy.
"Hey, Eilonwy!"
Melody said in a normal speaking voice.

Eilonwy jumped at the voice and spun around, thinking that she had been caught red-handed. Luckily, it was just Melody, smiling brightly, as usual. "Hello there, Princess," she said, smiling back at her. "I'm surprised you haven't been trained as an assassin or something. You can sneak up on anybody."

Melody ran up to her, giggling a bit.
"Haha, sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
She stoped running when she got closer,
"& Please don't call me princess. 'Melody' is fine"
Smiling at her.
"& of course! I;m a prankster! If i'm not quiet enough then I would be found out!"

"Oh, of course." Eilonwy smiled. Melody was constantly reminding her of that. But it was just habit for Eilonwy nowadays to formally address her superiors. Of course, Melody saw her as more of a friend than a servant, which Eilonwy was always grateful for. "That's true," she said, nodding. "A noisy prankster wouldn't get very far."

"Exactlly right!"
Melody crossed her arms,
"I'm glad somebody understands..."
Melody then uncrossed her arms & claped them together,
"Hey, do you wanna help me with a new prank?"
With a huge smile on her face

Eilonwy knew that smile. It always meant that there was something exciting ahead. Whether that exciting thing would turn out good or bad was always up for debate, but Eilonwy knew that once Melody got that look on her face, there was little chance of talking her out of whatever she had planned. She gave a little shrug. "Um, I guess so? What do you have in mind?"

Melody hopped up & down, clapping her hands
"Yay!!"
She then settled down & continued,
"So, my mom said were hosting a ball soon..."
Then whispering,
"But don;t tell anyone. I'm not sure that anyone is suppose to know..."
Continuing to speak normaly,
"But actually, I don't a set plan yet."
rubbing the back of her head, giggling.
"I was hoping that you would help me."

"Ooo, a ball? How exciting!" Despite being at the castle for a while now, Eilonwy had never actually been to one. Images of big ballrooms and couples dancing all around filled her head for a moment before she focused back on the conversation. God forbid Melody catch her day-dreaming on the job. "Mmm, well, I guess a ball would be a convenient place to pull a prank," she said, thinking out loud for a moment. "Lots of people, expensive clothes to ruin, able to blend in easily." She paused for a moment. "I guess spending time with you has rubbed off on me." She smiled at the little princess. "Um, I don't know. I'm not good at the actual 'coming up with ideas' part. I'm just good at doing what you tell me to do." She gave a little laugh.

Melody, twirling arround,
"Of course a ball is perfect."
Then, Pulling her arms in,
"TONS of expensive clothes."
She then put her hands on her hips,
"Well, I'm not going to force you if...if you don't want to..."
As she began to 'cry'

"No, no, that's not what I meant," Eilonwy said, putting her arm around Melody. "I'm just rubbish at coming up with ideas. You know that. You're the creative genius here. Come up with something and I'll follow you whole-heartedly."

Melody had a big smile on her face,
"Yay! Perfect"
Reveling that she was perfectlly fine.
"But ya know, you can always contribute ideas. I'm alwasy open!"
(Forgive my spelling xD I;m also guessing that the prank is gonna be like in the movie?)

Eilonwy sighed, but she still smiled. Melody, such a drama queen. But maybe being a good actress was part of being a royal. You had to hide what you were really thinking so other people couldn't use it against you. She gave a little smile. "I'll be sure to remember that."

((You're doing fine. Yeah, I say we go with that. ))

Melody had a big smile on her face,
"Haha! This is going to be fun!!"
Melody calmed a bit,
"So what's new with you?"

Eilonwy laughed at Melody's enthusiasm. "Let's just hope we don't get caught," she cautioned. Of course, she doubted any punishment the King and Queen could think up would be totally horrendous, but all the same, Eilonwy wished to avoid it if she could. At the princess's question, she thought of her encounter with John Smith and her cheeks turned a little pink. "Oh, um...nothing much," she stammered, obviously lying.

"Hmm...?"
Melody leaned closer to her, then straighting up again,
"Well it's fine if you don't want to tell me..."
Coverng her face with her hands & began to 'cry' again
"ya know, I'm concerned for a DEAR SPECIAL friend."
Putting e emphasis on the dear/special

"Oh Melody, come on," Eilowny groaned. But that was just the little girl's way. She knew how to tug on Eilonwy's heart strings enough to make her spill the beans. "Well, I was in the harbor, just admiring the ocean view, you know? It's so pretty out there and I had only seen it a few times. Well...John Smith, one of the knights, happened upon me and we had a nice little conversation." Her face got all dreamy thinking about the handsome knight. "His life sounds so adventurous. It was so amazing to hear about."

Melody revealing her face to show that she was perfeclly fine.
"Ohhh~ Just in the harbor. I see"
putting her knuckles to her chin, she then took a deep breath to say:
"I think you we following him"
Teasin her.

"What? No, I wasn't, honest," Eilonwy said. "He just happened upon me and recognized me from the castle and stuff. I mean, this is where the majority of our business takes place. I'm still surprised he talked to me at all. Do you see many knights talking to ladies in waiting that are so much younger than them?" She shook her head. "Anyway, he said that maybe I should try out adventuring sometime, that I might be better at it than I thought. It was kind of...interesting, in a way. I mean, I'm not exactly brave and dashing. But it was nice to hear it all the same."

Melody just stood there,
"Okay, if you say so."
She then put her hands behind her head.
"well, maybe you should go with him adventuing?"
Melody clasped her hands together, practically with sparkles in her eyes,
"Then he can save you from danger & keep you safe!"

Eilonwy laughed. "Sure, because that's the only role I'm good at: the damsel in distress." She laughed again and laid a hand against her forehead in a dramatic manner. "Oh, John Smith, save me, I've been captured by a band of pirates and they're gonna make me walk the plank!" she cried out in a high-pitched voice before bursting into giggles. Although the idea of John saving her didn't actually sound too bad to her. It would certainly make for an interesting story to tell later.

Melody bursted out laughing when Eilonwy did her dramatic acting.
"See, doesn't sound so bad, does it?"
She then clasped her hands together copyning her voice,
"Oh, John thank you for saving me! Now whisk me so we can live happily ever after!!"

Eilowny laughed. "You would go for the happy ending," she joked, smiling at her young friend. "I doubt it's gonna happen exactly like that, though. He's so much older than me. I figure it's nicer to daydream than get seriously involved and be disappointed later on. Besides, I can't go romancing off into the sunset when I still have you to look after."

Shruging her sholders,
"of course!"
Crossing her arms
"age is but a number. I don't see anythning wrong with it."
Letting her arms fall to her side,
"If it means that you would be happy, then I can fend fr myself!"
Having a huge smile

Eilonwy had to smile. Even though a romance between her and John was probably not going to happen, she thought it sweet that Melody still wanted them to be together. It seemed like the princess didn't understand the social dividing between her and John. Not only was there an age difference, Eilowny was still born from a poor family, despite becoming Melody's lady-in-waiting. That was always going to stain her reputation, no matter what she did. "I don't doubt you for a minute," she said, knowing that Melody was hardly a damsel-in-distress.
