Out For A Ride (tags: Gaston)

Odette rode out into the harbor on Angus, she smiled as she enjoyed the feel of the ocean breeze against her face. She smiled even wider and dismounted, she stroked Angus's neck as she looked out over the harbor.

Gaston was wandering through the village, exploring the streets and getting his mind off the royal marriage.
He was standing looking out ver the water when he heard the sound of a horse to his right, he glanced in that direction and saw a pretty blonde woman mounted on a well groomed horse.

"Hello there," he said greeting her with a smile, noticing her slender figure as he approached.

Odette turned when she heard the voice and smiled when she saw a handsome and muscular man standing not too far away from her. "Hello, I don't believe we've met I'm Odette." She said and held out her hand for him to shake.

Gaston took her hand and smiled again, "The names almost as pretty as the lady it belongs to, I'm Gaston, Gaston Red," he said while shaking her hand lightly.

Odette smiled back, "Well thank you Gaston, so are you new in town or are you here for the wedding?" She asked as she pulled her hand free.

"I rode in with the princess's escort, I'm here to support her and make sure shes happy and such," Gaston said, looking back at the palace.

Odette wondered at his tone and then sat down on the grass, "It sounds like you care about her." She said quietly.

"Its impossible not to care for Cindy," he replied, sitting beside her.

She smiled sadly, "Did you two ever get together?" She asked as she studied him with curiousity.

"Oh no, of course not, shes betrothed and we've been friends since we were children," Gaston assured her.

"Besides, why are we only talking about me? What about you, my lady? Have you got anyone close to you in your charming life?" he asked curiously, a sly look in his eyes.

Odette looked down with a small smile, "Just one, Captain Phoebus." She said with a little blush on her face as she said it. "So what's it like being friends with a princess?" She asked.

Gaston flinched a bit, he had to be the captain?

"No different than being friends with someone who comes from wealth, which I do, so not very strange."

"But she'll be the best queen this village has ever had," he said in a serious voice.

Odette smiled, "I'm sure she will be, are you planning on going to the ball?" She asked with interest.
(soo sorry some friends came over and I got distracted DX)

"Probably, I'm gonna go stag," he replied, grinning.

"I suppose you'll have to go with your captain, guys would fight over who gets the next dance with you if you went alone," he teased, running his hand through his hair.

Odette laughed, "Is that so? Well I can't let that happen." She said teasingly

"But it would be an unsuccessful fight as everyone would try to be the hero who escorts you away from it, and you would have men pulling at you from all sides," he said.

Gaston eyed her chest, unseen by odette and knew he would find some way to press his body against hers at the ball.

Odette nodded, she was starting to feel that he was complimenting her just a tad more then most men. "Yes well lets hope that doesn't actually happen at the ball." She said with a little laugh. She turned more towards him, "So tell me more about you." She said as she tried to change the subject.
(eepy buut I like it )

"Oh no, we've only talked about me, what do you do with your time?" he asked, laughing.

Odette smiled, "Well I love horseback riding, dancing oh and singing." She said with a smile. "There's really not that much about me though." She said with a wink.

Gaston sensed she was just telling him the surface stuff, the femininely sweet things, not anything about her in particular.

"You have a job?" he asked.

Odette shook her head, "No just the occasional odd job here and there, like street performing amoung other things." She said.

"I see, I'd love to see you perform some time," he said, smiling gently at her.


(I don't think this topic should go on much longer, like we should open a new one set on like the next day or something.... because i dont think Odette meets a strnager and spends hours with him, ya know?)

Odette smiled back, "Well who knows? You just might." She said before she got up, "I should be going, it was lovely meeting you Gaston." She said honestly.

"It has been a pleasure," he agreed as she left. A pleasure indeed.
