Meeting a Friend (tags Punzie)

Dean made his way into the town square keeping to himself as he usually did whenever he was wandering town. He looked around himself and sighed, he still missed his wife and kids...was it so bad to want revenge?

*Rapunzel was looking down as she walked down the street; she really hadn't been paying attention to her surroundings lately; her mind was just too jammed with something else; as she walked, she bumps into Dean who was walking the opposite way as her* Oh my goodness, I'm sorry!!

Dean looked down at Rapunzel and helped steady her, "Its all right Rapunzel." He said softly and let his hands fall. He gave her a small smile, "So how have you been since we last spoke?" He asked.

*Rapunzel looks down* Well...I'm single now.. *she laughs coldly* ...

Dean sighed, he had been expecting this...he just hoped it wouldn't change her outlook on life. "Rapunzel, there will be a guy out there who appreciates you for being you...so what about the guy who dumped you? Going through break ups is never easy but in the end Rapunzel...you will find that special someone." He said quietly.

*Rapunzel stays silent for a bit* ... *she finally exhales and shrugs* You're probably right... And...I honestly thought that this wouldn't be so bad..but... I guess...the first heartbreak...always hurts the most..

Dean studied her for a moment, "It never really is....you'll get through it but it'll take awhile to heal." He said quietly and put his hand on her shoulder, "Just know that you're not alone, you have friends who care about you." He said quietly.

*Rapunzel smiles to Dean, with slight tears in her eyes* ...Thank you... *she exhales sharply, looking to the ground* I'm not sure why I was so naive to think something really was happening between us... I mean...he likes MEN. For some reason I was too stupid to see that..

Dean winced, that sounded terrible...if this guy had known he was into other men...then why the hell had he started dating her? That bothered him, he removed his hand before he started gripping it too hard. "Well, if I ever run into him, I'll be sure to kick his ass for you." He said simply, completely serious.

*Rapunzel bites her lip* N-no... Please don't.. I don't want anyone to be hurt by something like this... *exhales* Maybe...he'll understand what he's done someday and he'll try to make up for it.. But for now don't hurt him, ok..? I don't want you or him hurt.

Dean laughed but it was a dark sound, "Trust me I can handle myself...however since you asked I won't. Now then is there anything I can do to help?" He asked quietly

*Rapunzel exhales but nods* Alright... *she smiles sadly at him and shakes her with a shrug* I'm not too sure... I just...wish I could forget this really... I don't like feeling this way...

He gave her a sympathetic smile, "No one does...one of the only ways is talking it out with someone." He said after a moment.

*Rapunzel smiles and nods* You're one of the only people I can talk to too... So...if...you don't mind helping me...vent..?

He smiled, "Just say anything that comes to your head about how this whole thing is making you feel." He said simply.

*Rapunzel nods and exhales frustratingly* It...it just makes me feel so...used..! I mean...I... *she runs her hands through her hair* I just want him to be happy...I really do. But...if he still felt something for men...if he began to feel something RIGHT as he saw Naveen... I don't know why I was lead on as long as I was...

He frowned, he didn't understand why that had been the case either...however he hoped that someday she would learn from this expierence.

*Rapunzel wipes a few tears from her eyes and she leans on a pillar on a building* ....And now...after all of this...I'm afraid to see him again... *she looks up to the sky, a small sigh coming from her*

He glanced at her, "That's only understandable...I am sorry that you got caught up in it." He said quietly.

*Rapunzel fiddles with her dress* ...Me too... *she looks to Dean with a sad smile* So um...I don't think we know much about one another, Dean.. Maybe this'll help me take my mind off this too... Maybe...tell me a little about yourself..?

Dean glanced at her, "My story....well it had a nice beginning...I grew up in a small city...it was pretty there. I fell in lovw with a woman...and asked her to marry me. Luckily she said yes so a few years down the road we had two kids a boy and girl. One day while I was with my regiment....something happened and my family was murdered...I came home to find my home in flames and later to find their bodies...what was left anyway." He said quietly.

*Rapunzel stares at him in some shock; she couldn't find the right words to say; she looks down, biting her lip* My goodness.... I-I'm so sorry...

He glanced over at her,'"I know...it uh isn't your typical story you hear either." He said with anshrug as he twisted the wedding band on his finger.

*Rapunzel's eyes remain soft as she turns her gaze from him* ...What...what made you want to come here...to Nirethia...?

He sighed, "I heard rumors...about my family's killer so I came here." He said simply as he looked down and away.
