One More Day (tags: Grandma Fa)

(sorry I had to get off for a bit )
Odette made her way to the harbor and stared out over the ocean as she leaned against a tree. She quietly wondered how things were with Michael....if he were recovering and if so were things still good between them?

((that's alright, sadly now I have to get off >.<))

"Ah, what a lovely surprise. Fnacy meeting you here," the gentle voice to the eldery woman said behind her. "I'm not surprised to see soemthing els eis troubling you this time. Or maybe it's the smae things as last time we met."

Odette smiled when she heard that voice, "Grandmother Fa, its lovely seeing you again!" She said sincerely amd then blushed. "Its almost like you can read my mind." She admitted as she glanced down.

Fa chuckled and moved to stand beside the young woman. "Who do you think Michael learned that from?" she winked jokingly. "So, do you need to open up once more?"

Odette nodded, "Uh yeah...last night Michael saved me from Joseph, he put his own life at risk. I...I never meant to come between them and then he, he asked Joseph to stop with his revenge as a favor for him." She said quietly.

At this, Fa looked taken aback and her eyes widen. "He asked Jospeh to stop? And he... litsend?" she asked in disbelif. "...is he alright?"

Odette shook her head, "No...he...he got stabbed. This...this is all my fault, I shouldn't have gotten into a relationship with him." She said as tears fell.

Fa frowned. "This is why i keep telling people to stop doing things thye'll only regret afterwards," she mutterd. "Some things aren't worth trying. But in this case, if you managed to change him, even a little, don't give up and lay down crying, be happy that he actually cares this much to stand up to the one person he's afraid of losing."

Odette nodded, "I am happy....I just wish that...he, he didn't have to choose. I know he is going to always be with Joseph....so why do I want him to realize that he could be happy with me?" She asked and then rubbes her forehead, "I'm not making any sense am I?" She asked.

"No, but who could blame you when being so involved with those two?" she sighend lightly. "I cna't really help you with your problems Odette. I belive I said too much last time as well. And relashionship, ha, that's the one thing I never really botherd with."

Odette sighed and nodded, "I know...I I just needed to vent a little bit." She said with a small laugh and then bit her lip, "I can't really talk to anyone else about...well this." She admitted with a sigh.

"You cna spill out all your feeligns as much as you need to dear, I'll litsen. But that's all i can do really," she said truthfully. "Though you shouldn't put that much trust on me either. I'm in the council after all, and the town's saftey is my biggest priority."

Odette nodded, "I know....and if you wanted too you could easily arrest me for aiding and abetting a known fugitive." She pointed out calmly.

"I also want to make more justice aorund here," she continued talkign casually. "And you my dear, haven't had any of thta in your whole life. So no, arresting you wouldn't feel right."

Odette stared at her surprised, "Oh...well uh thank you, I guess." She said softly, she was stunned....Grandmother Fa would have had every reason to arrest her so that came as a shock.

"You may hae worked as an assasin, but you're not evil Odette. I'mwilling to give you another chance, and you should take it," she said sternly.

Odette sighed, "You want me to change my profession?" She asked quietly as she stared out over the water.

"No," fa said firmly. "Only that you treat yourself better, which I'm sure alot of people already has asked you too do. Let's just hope you know what that means."

Odette sighed, ".......Its...just so hard....I hurt all the people I ever get close too. I...I can't even...I always ruin things." She said quietly.

Odette winced, "You're right....I'll just work on that." She said and rubbed her forehead, Grandma Fa was of course right...Odette was just being silly.

Fa grumbled to herself. She lnew she was being harsh, but sometimes thta was the only way to wake people up.
"You have alot to work on my dear. Just take one step at a time."

Odette sighed again, "I do....I really do." She said softly, her head hurt...probably from that head wound that still hadn't fully healed. "Any more suggestions?" She asked with a weak smile in Grandma Fa's direction.

Fa could tell she was hurt, probably after her last meeting with the twins... she still couldn't belive that Michael had acutlly stood up to Jospeh like that... and it irritated her that she kind of worried how the older twin had reacted.
"Just make your decicions wisely."

Odette sighed, "Right....ok...I'll work on being smarter." She said as she bit her lip, it wasn't going to he easy seeing as how Odette slightly believed the best in everyone....even after they hurt her.
