I'm grateful to you... in a way[Tag Jane]

Dimtir sighend as he etered hs home, maids and sevrants alreayd at his side, cathing his jakcet he throw off and brigning him something to drink.
He waved them off and told them to leave him aloen for a moment and let himself sink down on his couch.
He enjoyed his work, but breaks were sure hard to get.

Jane looked at the address Dimitri had given her and stared at the Mansion with wide eyes, "Holy crap." She said softly...her brother sure was rich. She hesitiantly approached the door and after debating with herself slowly knocked on the door. It took a few moments but then a maid opened the door, "Yes miss?" she asked curiously. Jane smiled slowly, "Uh hi...I'm here to see my brother Dimitri...he uh gave me this address." she explained. The maid blinked and them gave her a weird look, "You're Master Dimitri's sister? Well um, why don't you come on it and I'll let him know you've arrived." she said gently and stepped aside to allow Jane in, "Um thank you." jane said softly and watched the maid leave.

"Master Dimitri?"
The man goraned in reply, letting the svernat know he was still awake and hurry up with that he wanted.
"You have a guest-"
"Tell them to come bakc some other time."
"-she claims to be your sister."
Dimitri was out of the door in a second.
He arrived at the entrnace and put on his brightest smile when he saw her. "Oh, that was fast. I'm glad you came."

She smiled back at him and forgot to be nervous, "Hey Dimitri, yeah well I got the job. I'm going to be the Royal Artist and my first job, I have to paint the next future king and queen." She said with a sigh, she hoped she didn't fail.

His eyes light up and motioned for ehr to follow him into the other room. "That's amazing Jane! I'm impressed," he said proudlya nd sat down in one of the couches.
"Wow.. thta's abig task for someone who just got the job. That means the king must've really taken a liking to you," he smiled.
This was perfect.

Jane smiled and sat next to him, "I even have a room at the palace but I'll only use it if I'm working late on a project or something." She said with a shrug. She looked down at her hands in her lap, "I really hope I can do it." She said quietly.

"You even live at the palace? Ha, then there's nothing more I cna offer you," he said sheepishly. "Who's your roomate? And hey, I belive you'll manage. You're going to do great Janie."

She smiled at the name....it had been one he had called her when they were little. "I'm not sure yet and well I hope so, either way I do need to work on drawing profiles." She said with a thoughtful look on her face.

"Then be more sure. The king himself accepted you with open arms in suvh a short time, do be sure," he encouraged her. "Well, this towns full of people, I'm sure you'll have plenty of opportunites to practice."

Jane nodded, "I was thinking about just going ro the town square tommorow to practice drawing faces." She admitted as she bit her bottom lip.

"You do that, if you need an escort just ask, I'll egt it for you," he offered.
He leaned slightly closer to her, his face turnign a little more serious. "Just a little advice, don't mention to the king who I am, at leats not my name. THe council and royals are in, well, at war you could say. I wouldn't want you to get on their bad side beaucse you happen to be related to me."

She nodded, she vaguely recalled how the king had reacted when she had said Dimitri's name. "Ok and why exactly are the council and the royals fighting?" she asked softly.

"Different opinions on how to rule this kingdom. Simple as that i'm afraid," he said with a light chuckle. "That's just how things are."

She frowned, things shouldn't be so torn in such a beautiful city...she bit her lip and smiled sadly at Dimitri. "That's too bad, I can't imagine why they can't get along." She muttered, surely it wouldn't be that hard to work together?

"In ral life, the simpliest and stupidest things are the hardest to get along with. Sad but true," he shrugged and took his cup of tee when offered to thme by a servant.

Jane nodded and accepted her cup of tea from the servant with a small smile and took a sip before she spoke again, "So what is it you do for the Council Dimitri?" She asked.

"What everyone else do," he chuckled. "Though I'm more specialiced in the criminal part you could say."

Jane took another sip and then raised an eyebrow, "Oh, do you have to interrogate the criminals or something?" She asked with wide eyes.

2Yeah that too, but mostly i try to solve the cases the rest is to afraid off, and go find the guys myself. Quite exciting."

Jane frowned, "But isn't that dangerous?" She asked softly and with worry, sure her brother enjoyed his job but she would rather he didn't get hurt.

Of course it was dangerous. But him getting hurt was less of a chance happening now.
"That's part of what makes it so exciting. Don't worry Janie, you're big brother is a pro at wha he does. he won't get hurt," he assured her.

Jane nodded, she still felt worried for him though, "Well good then....just be careful." She said quietly before she took another sip of her tea. She wondered if he had ever been hurt before...the thought twisted her stomach, she didn't want to lose him again.

"I will don't worry, you have your own things to think about now," he smiled. "Anyway, i'd lvoe to hear everything about your work at the castle, so please do come and visit me often."

(A pro....and in our plot Jane gets targeted XDD)
Jane nodded, "Oh yeah, that'll be nice. And thank you again Dimitri, this was really nice." She said quietly and smiled at him before she put her cup down.

"No need to thank me. I'm the one who should be grateful after all..."
One of the servants suddenly appeard and bent down to whisper something to Dimitri. He's faces turned irritated and annoyed. "Well then make him talk," he hissed, sending the man away.
