If we've met first [AU fanfic with Belle]

''Nope, because you have thorns'', Eric retorted and laughed softly while he walked closer to her, ''Maybe I should escort you home, who knows when you need a witness'', he shrugged his shoulders lightly.

Belle narrowed her eyes slightly and stepped back. "I'm capable of getting myself home safely...Besides, why would I want you to know where I lived?" She pointed out, arching a brow.

''Because I'm new at town, and maybe I'll need a friend in here... I'm no doubting you would walk home safely, I just wanted to talk some more'', he said with another small shrug and put his hands on his pockets.

Belle thought about it for a moment before she sighed and nodded slightly. "Fine..." She finally said quietly, nodding her head. She took hold of Phillips lead and tugged him to follow her. She looked to Eric and arched her brows. "So. Did you walk here?"

''Actually, I do have a horse'', he whistled and Spirit trotted right towards him, ''This one was a wild one, I've tammed him, and now he's one of my 'best friends', I guess'', he said with a small chuckle and petted his neck gently.

(I'm too lazy to move back onto Belle's. xD)

Belle looked towards the horse and blinked. He was a very beautiful horse. She gently ran her hand through his mane before looking to Eric. "He's beautiful," She admitted, though she refused to smile. She sighed and started to lead Phillip. "C'mon, Blue," She said over her shoulder.

Eric watched with a small smile while she ran her hand through Spirit's mane. Spirit whinnied softly at their touch, and Eric could see into the animal's eyes how much he wanted to gallop away from there. He hold his reins while she led the way and once they were near the road he mounted.

''So, are you gonna walking all the way long, or do you want to run a little?''

Belle looked over at him as he mounted Spirit. The arched a brow and shrugged. "Sure," she shrugged before pulling herself up onto Phillips back. She took a hold of the reins and snapped them once lightly. Phillip took off. Belle smiled, but was out of reach for Eric to see the smile. Her brown hair rushed back in the wind.

The girl didn't know, but he was fast enough to reach her. He leaned down on the saddle, and he felt Spirit flying under him. He passed by her and laughed, ''Oh, she can smile too''... he turned back, keeping Spirit one head foward Phillipe.

Belle gasped, not expecting him to be so close so quickly. She wiped the smile off her face and glared at him. "You're hallucinating," she called after him, though she was laughing mentally.

''Am I?'', he chuckled and paired her, ''Hm, how about you smile at me... This way I can know if I was hallucinating or not'', he smirked.

Belle rolled her eyes at him and scoffed. "I don't smile, Blue. Get over that desire," She said simply.

He smirked widely, ''So I guess I was hallucinating... But how a beautiful hallucination I had'', he shook his head and smiled lovingly towards her.

Belle shifted uneasily on her horse. What was with this guy? Flirting with a girl who had just murdered someone? She cleared her throat and looked away, trying to clear her head. "Right...Beautiful," She shook her head and chuckled dryly. "We're almost to my house," She pointed out quietly.

He laughed at her chuckles... ''Sorry, I think I hallucinated again imagining your laughing'', he teased and winked at her. Definetely, he didn't want to say goodbye so soon, so he decided to slow Spirit's pace a little.

Belle eyed him as he slowed the horse. She knew what he was doing. "You are stubborn, aren't you?" She asked, arching a brow. "That's cute," She said with a sigh and shook her head. "Listen. Assassins don't...have these emotions you're looking for. Hate to be the one to burst your bubble," She muttered.

He smiled but it faded away slowly when she said what she was... ''Well, I think we have a problem, Rosie, because I'm trying to be a knight... So it's going to be very difficult to be your friend if I have to arrest you someday'', he said quietly.

Belle smirked, arching a brow at him. "Oh, a knight? Fancy," She cooed. "However, you won't be able to arrest me. You couldn't catch me," She pointed out. "Woah, wait. Who the hell said I wanted to be your friend?" She said stubbornly, eyeing him.

It amused him seeing her, ''Oh, Rosie, and who said you didn't want?'', he pointed with a half smirk...

Belle eyed him once more, narrowing her eyes slightly. "You shouldn't care. Assassin. Knight. We don't go together," She said simply, turning her back and leading Phillip farther down the road.

Eric shrugged... ''Assassin, knight, they aren't different, you know. I'm a human being, and so are you... At the end we're the same, Rosie'',he said as he followed her down on the road.

"Yeah? Well, what happens when I kill someone and you're sent to take me down?" She asked, stopping the horse and sliding off of it. She looked at him with her arms crossed.

Eric dismounted as well, and walked closer to her. He tapped his fingers on his chin, and thought about it for a couple of secs. ''Hmm, I would go after you, and you could punch me hard. I'll say you got away and I would be mocked for a couple of months by the other kinghts'', he said with a small chuckle.

Belle glared at him. "So, you'd let me go? Why? I've done nothing for you, and I don't plan on ever doing anything for you," She bluntly, her golden eyes cold.

''Hmmm, you let me live, and it would be nice having you as a friend...'', he said with a small shrug and smilled looking down to his feet. She was different, and he liked it.
