Vivid Dreams (tags: Poca)

Dean was dreaming his eyes moving restlessly under his eyelids as he dreamed, "Dean...you need to move on." Dean looked over and gasped when he saw Rachel smiling.sadly at him. Dea just stared at her in shock, "Rachel?" He whispered in awe as he stared at her, she was as beautiful as he remembered. She didn't say anything just smiled.sadly at him. "Mommy, daddy!" Dean turned and froze when he saw Sam and Katherine hurrying towards them. They ran towards Rachel and.leapt into her arms while Dean stared at them, "I want.to be here with you and our kids." He said quietly. Rachel shook her head, "You have to move on Dean." She said gently and then the whole scene brightened Dean woke.up tears.in his eyes.

Pocahontas stirred in her sleep and woke up. She had been gone the whole night and day beofre, since Dean had still been alseep. And when she ahd gotten back she ahd accidently fallen saleep at the bed's side.
She looked at hi face, seeing the tears rolling down his cheeks before he even opened his eyes.
Wordlessly she pushed herslef to sit on the bed and gently stroked his cheel, brushing away the tears. She really couldn't do anything to make it better for him, but just simply be there.

Dean didn't say anything.for a long.time.just lay there but the look in his eyes said.what he couldn't. Dean slowly looked up at.Pocahontas, "You were right." He said quietly.

Poca's face remaind blank, and she held bit back her tounge before she could say somethiing. Her dry comments wasn't needed now. She just gave a sligt nodd before laying down next to him.
Words wren't always necesary.

Just laying there made him feel even worse as he tried not to think about his dream...after all it had been just that a dream right? Even though that dream had almost felt real...was it possible to see people you loved in dreams?

"I'm good litsener," Poca spoke up, voice soft and gentle, without her usual sarcasm in it. "try to let everything out, or else your heart will never heal, and never let go."

Dean.sighed, "I dreamed of my wife and.two kids...she kept telling.me that I needed to move on. They all looked so happy." He said softly as he.stared up at the ceiling. He let out a sad laugh, "I miss her...she was the one who believed in me...even when I didn't believe I could do much." He said

Poca litsend quietly when he spoke, and then wraepped her arms around him comfortly while leanig her head agaisnt his shoulder. what coudl she say? She has ever lost someone that close to her, so she could only imagen know hard it must be. She amybe be a great healer, expect when it came to broek hearts.
"I belive in you."

He started to smile at her words, "Well, that's good to know." He said softly as he.smiled down.at.her. She looked good there he thought absently as he studied.her silently unobserved.

"Now get yourslef some confidence," she said flatly before sitting up and carefully lifting up his shirt to nspect his wound. It had been a couple of days, and he had been badly hurt so he'd best be in bed for a while more.

He smiled at her words, "So, how is.it.looking down there?" He asked, he knew his injuries were far from healed but.then that would hardly be surprising given.the severity of.the beating.

"Pretty bad," she stated, eyes focused on the wounds and opened his shirt, exposing his banadged coverd chest fully.
She felt along his chestfro the broken ribs. Yepp, this would tkae a while to heal.

Dean sighed, "That's what I get for.attacking.a Korso." He said flatly, wincing a little bit as she touched his injured ribs.

"Don't worry, half this town is stupid enought to try and attack them by themself," she sighed and leaned overhim to reach for something on the table at his side.

He chuckled, "Guess it makes me.the first to survive such an encounter huh?" He asked

"you're one of the few, yes," she nodded, remoing his bandgaes when she had picke du new and clean ones. "at least you're not bleeding as much as before," she sighend, soundign relived.

He sighed in relief, "That's good...I owe you my life Pocahontas." He said quietly but honestly. It seemed this woman was always going to be there when he needed her.

She shaked her head and finished up, leaning over him again tp place the stuff at the night table. "You and many others do, but what kind of doctro would I be if I say they'll own me for it?2

He shook his head, "Anything I can do for you, I will do." He said softlyand honestly. He meant what he said and Dean McCoppin was a man of his word.

"You clearly didn't understand what I just said," she sighend and moved to stand up. She wouldn't do any good laying around here.

"Is it such a bad thing? Returning a good deed?" He asked carefully he didn't know why but he wanted her to know he would always be there for her. "However if you truly don't want it then I will respect your wishes." He said quietly.

Once she was standing up, she turned around to look down at him. "No, it's not," she said with a shake of her head. "I just mean that doctors shoudln't be asking for a favour in return. Their paticent survining shouod be enough."

He started to smile, "That's very honorable, I'm glad to hear it." He said quietly but sincerely.

"No, just part of the job," she stated.
She stared down at him, and then glanced towards the door. She should leave and let him sleep but...
"Mind if you shared the bed with me?"

Dean gave her a slow smile, "Not at all." He said and patted the spot where she had been moments ago.
