Maggie kept her face down, refusing to show the other woman how hrt she actually was, now ifonly she could make her hands stop trembling.
"Don't apologize... I'm not really surprise to be honest," she said with a shaky laugh. "...it still hurt to see though..."

Aurora nodded but felt that guilty feeling return, "I am so sorry." She whispered . She hated herself, exactly why was she enjoying those moments with Dimitri so much? Did she like him? She wished she knew....her love life was more complicated then it should be.

"...he'll just toss yo away though, once he gets bored," she said after a while, her sweet tone now hard and cold. "That's what he always does..."

Aurora raised an eyebrow at that, "I'm not so sure Maggie." She said quietly and then stood up to study her. "I know you're jealous." She said eventually and looked down, "I'm sorry." She whispered.

"I may be, but i'm also right. You think you're the only gilr he's brought back more thna once?" she snorted with a shake of her head. "He keeps soem arond for a while, until they bore him out... You're no exception."

Aurora's heart skipped a beat at that but she didn't let it show, "You know, I liked you better when you weren't acting so childishly. I've already said sorry at least three times...and while I know you like him, that doesn't mean you own him. Its not my fault he doesn't return your feelings in the slightest measurement." She snapped and then turned away, "At least do yourself a favor and find someone who appreciates you." She said quietly and turned to leave, she felt terrible half the things she had said, she hadn't meant to even say.

Maggie clenched her fist, but kept still and ehr ehad lwerd as Aurora walked past her. All the years of hiding her feelings had made her prepared not to snapp back at the other, so she just kept still, and held back more tears that threatend to fall.
"I can tell you the same thing," she spoke up then, voice harder than she herslef esxpected it to be.

Aurora paused mid-step and glanced over her shoulder, "You could..but then why would you care about the outcome?" She asked, she was suddenly curious for that answer but she had a feeling she wouldn't like it so she kept walking.

"Beacuse I was in the exact same position you are in right now!" she snapped, finally looking up and after the other woman. She couldn't hold it in anymore, all her feeligns were just spilling out.
"And I'm not the first one... He knows how to make one feel special, like you're the only one he craes about, until he just... push you away, like nothing."

Aurora blinked at that and turned around to face her finally, her eyes studied her and she knew that she was telling the truth. "Then why do you still work for him?" She asked, she felt suddenly sick.

She snorted and glared at Aurora. "Beaucse I have no where else to go... I rather work ina mansion thna live on the streets..." she said lowly and wrapped ehr amrs around herself. "I've alreayd lsot everything, the only other family and friends I had wre taking away from on that massacre at the ball... and yes, unfortunatly I still care for him, beaucse I know exactly what he's been through unlike the rets of you he toys with..!"

Aurora shook her head, "You could still work at the palace...they don't abuse the hired help. At least consider it Maggie, I can talk to the King himself to ensure you a job there." She said softly.

She scoffed. "The royals?" she spat in anger. "The same people who didn't get rid of that... that monster when they had him?! At least around here, the job gets done."

Aurora studied the black eye on Maggie critically, "You're right it does." She said flatly and then shrugged, "You might want to put some ice on that by the way." She threw back over her shoulder before she left.
