Bio: Proteus was the only child of two loving parents, Selena and Sir Edmund Capelli Sir Edmund was a very talented knight who served with, and was good friends with, Sir Richard Paranell. Selena then also became very close to Sir Richard's wife, Evangeline, the two of them even getting pregnant around the same time. Evangeline and Selena would set up play dates for their kids, and Proteus and Odette soon became best friends. Growing up, they would often play together in the woods near their homes, playing sword fighting, and hide and seek, and various other games.
When Odette was abducted when she and Proteus were 10, and her parents were killed, Proteus and his parents were the ones to find the bodies of Sir Richard and Evangeline. They gave them a proper burial and Sir Edmund made plans to go off in search of Odette. Proteus wanted to go too, but his father told him he shouldn't, and Proteus, being very respectful of his parents, obeyed and waited anxiously for his father and the other knights to return. When his father did finally return, it was without Odette, and Proteus, distraught, left the house and went to Odette's parents' graves, where he made a promise to them, and to himself, that he would find her, no matter what.
When Proteus grew up, he realized the life of a knight wasn't meant for him, being too kind and gentle to be able to kill anyone. But he stil wanted to help others, and to travel the world, and search for Odette, so he became a foreign diplomat, traveling to many different kingdoms and towns to keep the land peaceful. Everywhere he went, Proteus searched for Odette, always to now avail, but still remaining hopeful no matter how many places he had searched for her. His father, Sir Edmund, died a few years ago, off in a war, and his mother his still living in the house where he grew up. Wherever he goes, Proteus is aways keeping in touch through letters with his parents, updating them on his life, and his search for Odette. Now, he is currently in Nirethia to discuss some business with the royals and the council, and of course, always, to look for Odette.
Personality: Kind, generous and a very caring man. Proteus will always try helping those around him no matter what. He loves animals, and traveling, and going on adventures. Proteus is very much the quiet hero, the one who doesn't seek praise. He is very smart, but he can be a bit naive, and innocent, when it comes to women. He is an upright young man who doesn't curse, rarely drink, and has never had sex. He is very respectful of his parents, and elders, and superiors. He does not give up easy, and will fight and push for what he believes in.
Relationships:
Mother-Selena: Proteus loves his mother very dearly, often worrying about her since his father passed away. Growing up, despite his dreams of being like his father, he was very much a 'Momma's boy,' often spending any time he wasn't with Odette, with her.
Father-Sir Edmund[Deceased]: Proteus absolutely idolized his father, wanting to grow up to be just lik him. He would often try to tag along with his father on trips and missions, but his father always said it was too dangerous. SIr Edmund wasn't the most emotional of people. He loved his wife and son more than anything, but he really didn't show it outwardly. He is where Proteus got his quiet nature from.
"Uncle"-Sir Richard[Deceased]: Proteus also very much admired his Uncie Richie/Uncle Richard. He was much more open to having Proteus tag along on some things, but Edmund had the final say and would usually say no.
"Aunt"-Evangeline[Deceased]: Proteus would spend a lot of time with his Auntie Evie/Aunt Eve, since she would often be with his mother. He cared very much for her and loved spending time with her.
Odette: Proteus and Odette spent the first 9 years of their lives together. She was his best friend(and he'll still say she is, even having not seen her in years). The would talk about serious things, and silly things, play all kinds of games. She would often tease him for being the baby(since she was a few months older than him), but he could tease her since he always found her relatively quickly when playing hide and seek. She is the most important person in the world to him, next to his mother of course. He will not be truly happy until he finds her.
