History:
Naveen was abandoned as an infant by his parents and was found by Grandma Fa, who took him in and raised him. He later met Jasmine when they were 5 years old and she had gotten lost and separated from her foster family and soon became one of her closest friends. He became a dancer and eventually developed a bit of a crush on Jasmine, but she never thought anything more of him other than a friend. There have been a few people who have thought him to be gay because most of his time is spent with other dancers, usually girls and he just jokes around with them, and so he's gotten into quite few fights, which were usually brought to an end when Grandmother Fa would show up. She eventually got him a trainer, to help him learn how to defend himself. He doesn't like to fight, but he can, and will, if he needs to. He is straight though.
He left Nirethia when he was 16, when he was cast in a ballet, so he left to perform with them. Now that the show is over, he's back, ready to reunite with his "gran-gran" and Jasmine.
Personality:
He really isn't a shy guy, in fact, he's pretty much the opposite, and he has had a fair amount of experience(with girls, although maybe he has been kissed by guys before
). He is a nice guy though, and a supportive friend, and when he saw that Jasmine really didn't feel the same way about him, he pretty much just dropped it(and left town, but you know XD), but he really wouldn't force any woman to be with him. He's just a goofy, friendly, lovable guy, but he will get tough when he or someone he cares about is threatened in any way(more so for his loved ones then himself though).
Relationships:
Grandmother Fa: He loves his surrogate mother/grandmother. He jokes around with her, talks to her, depends on her, and is there for her(although she usually needs him less then he has needed to her XD). He is incredibly thankful for everything she has done for him and feel very blessed to have her.
Jasmine: Jasmine is his absolute best friend. He pretty much can be friends with everyone due to his outgoing personality, but he feels his most comfortable when he's with Jasmine. He can tell her anything and trusts her(and Grandmother Fa) more than anyone. He pretty much grew up with Jasmine, for 11 years they were together. She knows everything about him and he knows everything about her.
Aladdin: They first met when he was dancing in the square with some kids, and they talked, and slightly flirted and agreed to meet again so that Naveen could give Aladdin some dance lessons. At the dance lessons, some things started to develop, but Naveen pushed it down and denied any possible feelings for the other boy. They went back to Rapunzel's bakery where they started to have a threesome that soon started to become a twosome with just Naveen and Aladdin, but was then interrupted and stopped when Eric showed up. They didn't see each other again until Naveen showed up at the tavern, very worried, after hearing about a boy that sounded like Aladdin jumping off a building, after which Naveen invited Aladdin to stay with him at Fa's. He stayed for a while, and they grew even closer, but he then left when some things happened involving Fa and Jim. Naveen went after Aladdin, but their meeting ended up in a fight. Naveen spent the time apart trying to make sense of what he was feeling for Aladdin and then went searching for him, meeting up with him and making love by the river. They are now together, and very happy, but they know their relationship is considered very taboo.

((Oh! And just fyi. Naveen does not have an accent like in Princess and the Frog, since he is from Nirethia.))
