'This town sure is dead when it's not having a party,' Cale thought bitterly to himself as he walked around the town square, hands in his pockets and a bored expression on his face. 'Even then...' he amended, an amused smirk spreading across his face. His smirk then fell as he thought back to that night of the masquerade ball, and Jane. He clenched his jaw and tightened his fists in his pockets as he remembered their conversation. 'What was with that girl?' he thought angrily, looking at the ground as he kicked at loose pebbles.

Cale shut his eyes tight then and shook his head, banishing all thoughts of Jane to the far reaches of his mind and then looked back up with a flirtatious smirk. Over the years, Cale had become a master and putting on a convincing smile, or any other emotion, to fool people into believing whatever he wanted them to believe. He eyed each woman he happened to pass, most of them too old or too young for his taste. Or already with someone. Course if he got bored enough, maybe the latter wouldn't be a problem after all. He would still though smile over to all the women, making the smile more seductive, or less, given the woman, and occasionally sending a flirtatious wink their way.
