Chase the Morning (Tag: Kida)

The carriage stops infront of the pavement to Nick's Mansion. The doorman opens the door and Nicholas steps out, helping Kida out as well. As he lead her towards the Mansion, servants came out to greet them with fresh clothes for Kida. Once inside, Nicholas unlocks Kida's shackles. "My servants here will help you get out of these jail clothes and afterwards we can discuss your assignments." Nicholas says before the maids started hurrying Kida into another room.

Kida followed after Nicholas silently, her eyes downcast and honestly empty of much of anything. She said nothing as she was escorted to another room. She let the maids change her clothes, wincing only when they pulled her shirt off and the material touched her head, seeing as it still hurt. She asked to use the restroom, and was led there. She stood in front of the mirror, over the sink. She stared at herself and frowned, seeing the blood stain on the side of her head. John would pay for that one.

She silently washed her face off, then washed her hair in the sink the best she could, trying to get the blood from her hair. She took the towel one of the maids offered her, then followed them to where Nicholas was. She ran her fingers through her hair, her eyes finally turning up to look at him. "So. Am I your slave now?" she asked boredly.

"I wouldn't say that." Nicholas says, looking up at Kida. He places the papers down before standing up, leaning against the desk "Just a few ground rules to keep you out of the cell. First and most Important, Do not go outside when I am not in your presence. You are a guest, not a caged animal as they would like to think, so I will take you along any 'non-buisness' related places if you please. However, I will also not be of any care if you decide to break the rule and do as you please, but I can't guarenteed that you won't be shipped out of Nirethia or the worse case scenario which I would rather not mention."

Kida arched a brow, slightly surprised that he was willing to treat her right. Sure, she wasn't totally free, but she wasn't locked up in that cell with Eric anymore. "I'm smart enough to stay inside," she murmured, shaking her head. "What about others? Are they allowed to come see me?" she questioned, then paused, as if just connecting his name. "You're Flynn's father, aren't you?" She questioned, eyes going a bit wide. "Oh, well... This is interesting," she murmured, shaking her head a bit.

She walked over and leaned onto his desk, leaning over to be closer to him. "Just, let me say this now... I'm not here to help you. I'm here to help myself. I'll do whatever the hell you want, but don't expect me to like you. This is purely business," she said with a small sneer.

"That's my Second Rule and Yes, I am, but I don't share the bond quite as well as some." Nicholas looks at her with a raised eyebrow before smirking slightly at her comment. "I don't expect that at all. Most people, particulary Women, don't enjoy my presence. Speaking of, you're allowed to have visitors but not often. According to the legal documents you're suppose to be working for me as a Maid and not a Con-Woman. If doubts starts to raise whether I'm keeping up my bargain of their deal with you, again, consequences will occur. The maid will teach you how to 'act' like a maid whenever I have 'important' guest over."

Kida made a face at the idea of being a maid. "Cleaning? Fuck," she muttered, shaking her head. She leaned onto the desk and sighed, running her fingers through her long white hair. "In public, I suppose I'll be seen as your daughter," She smirked a bit, glancing up at him. She giggled softly -- the sound honestly foreign to her since the night she lost the baby.

Nicholas shakes his head, leaning back in his chair. "If you wish to be seen that way you can. I was thinking something else, but that works as well."

Kida tilted her head and arched a brow, crossing her arms a bit. "Something else? What, exactly?" she questioned, biting on her bottom lip slightly.

"Well, Ms. Nedakh. You are my guest, not a prisoner. In public, I would treat you as a very special guest. Since you are quite new here in Nirethia. Tell me, have you explored any of your surroundings since you came here? Or where you tangled up with... other things." Nicholas says, referring to Eric and Belle, with a a brow raised.

Kida bit her lip slightly and looked away. "Honestly? I've never been anywhere except the river and the tavern," She said, scrunching up her nose slightly and looking back towards Nicholas.

"That's ashame." Nicholas says before standing. He walks over to Kida and takes her hand softly, kissing the top very lightly as his eyes stays locked with hers. "It will be my pleasure to show you around Nirethia, Ms. Nedakh."

Kida's eyes went a bit wide, but the corner of her lips turned up just slightly. Since when were men gentlemen in Nirethia. "S-Sounds lovely," she murmured before biting the corner of her lip slightly.

Nicholas smirks slightly at her reaction. "That's the plan." He comments, smiling and walking back over to his desk. "Now, Ms. Nedakh, would you like to know why I have hired you?"

Kida smiled a bit and nodded, sitting onto the desk and crossing her legs. "I would love to know why I'm here," she nodded, tilting her head to the side so that her long white hair fell over her shoulder.

"Well, my dear. I need you to help me take down a fellow Council-Woman. Normally, I would do it myself, but she's particuarly smart when it comes to someone that she knows. Until I bring in a new face, an innocent face that no one will recogonize even if they tried." Nicholas explains to Kida with a smile.

Kida arched a brow and bit onto her bottom lip slightly as she listened to his explanation. So, he was after the council. She had guessed that much. She scoffed softly at his description of herself. "Innocent?" she smirked and 'innocently' twirled a strand of her hair around her finger.

"Well, not as innocent as I hope but you're Sassyness brings a little spice to the place." Nicholas says with a smirk. "You'll be doing a series of things to make Fa look less and less in total power and force her to stand down peacefully. Once she does this, you are a free to go my dear. Clean slate and everything. Are you up for it?"

Kida pouted at not being called innocent. But, she knew she wasn't. So, her pout was only playful. "At least I'm useful here," she said quietly. She listened quietly and pursed her lips, her gut telling her she was doing something wrong by helping. But, this guy didn't seem so bad. In fact, he seemed rather nice. "You have a deal," she said with a small nod and a smile.

"You are quite a resourceful and talented woman." Nick tells her with a smirk. "I've looked into all of your life achievements and I understand why Mr. Rolfe wants you out of the way. You're deadly Ms. Nedakh, in the mind and body. That's why I believe Cons are much smarter and effective than Assasin's, any day."

Kida smiled proudly, crossing her arms and tilting her head to the side. "So, you know of me," She mused. "You probably know more of my achievements than I do," She laughed slightly. "But... I've taken care of my body since I was little. Therefore, I would say that I'm in pretty good condition," She said matter-of-factly before smirking. She lifted herself onto her hands at the edge of his desk and turned her frame upside down to do a handstand before crossing her legs as if she were sitting Indian style, all while still upside down at the edge of his desk, consequently showing off her long legs. She smiled at him, her white hair falling all around her face. "As for mind? Eh. I suppose I'm pretty smart," she giggled and dropped back to the floor, fixing her skirt back down.

"Impressive as that may be, you also have a weakness the puts both of those strengths into shame. One that takes over your heart, mind, and apparently your body. Both you and your half-sister, Belle, I believe, both have this overwhelming weakness to people you care about." Nicholas tells Kida, standing up and heading towards the window. "I, myself, had such a weakness. It made me weak and end up breaking me in the end. But, after 21 years of not feeling it, I've learned to harden it completely."

Kida frowned a bit, crossing her arms. She knew her weakness all too well. "What's your point?" she murmured, playing with a strand of her hair as she watched him carefully.

"My point is, my dear..." Nicholas starts, walking over to Kida and placing his fingers under her delicate chin. "Do not let it control your actions. Or else, it may very well cost you your precious life."
