Arrival at a New Home

Phoebus looked at her for a moment while his smiled disappeared before he looked away.
"I'm so sorry to hear that.." He said and cleared his throat. He didn't know what to say really, but it was surprising that she shared her story with him just like that.
"I wish there was something I could do for you to make you feel better.."

Odette bit her lip, "You could share those stories of your teenage years." She said lightly, still shocked that she had told him something so personal.

"Well.. There isn't so much to say really.. I moved away when I was 14, and since then I trained to be a soldier. Because of that I didn't had to much time over for "fun" stuff.. But sometimes I and some others I trained with went out and played... It was everything from sneaking into -- uhm-- brothels, to smashing Windows.." He chuckled and sat up straight once again.
"Of course we didn't do anything in the brothels.. But you know, boys will be boys.." Phoebus shurgged and almost couldn't stop laughing by the memory. "And then it was girls, drinking.. almost everything.."

She laughed and smiled at him, "Sounds like you miss it." She commented softly as she studied him.

"Nah.. It was fun, but I like who and where I am today" He said softly back before he finished his meal.
"I still have a lot of things I have to experiencing.... How about you, do you have any dreams for the future?"

Odette looked down, "Well I don't know, I've always wanted a family of my own....but I don't think that'll happen." She said and smiled sadly.

"Why not?" He asked with a little frown and tilted his head on the side.

Odette looked down, "I haven't found the right man yet....plus I..I'm not sure how I would do as a mother..let alone a wife." She said.

"Is that what you're worrying about?" Phoebus asked, and couldn't help but laugh a little - even though she looked sad.
"I'm sorry.. it's just that I know that you will be a wonderful mother and wife. I can feel it - and don't worry, you will find the perfect man soon" He smiled warmly at her

Odette smiled back, "Really? You make it sound so easy....no man wants someone like me." She said softly.

"Someone like you? Who wouldn't want a beautiful woman that knows what she's doing?!" Phoebus chuckled and frowned a bit when he didn't understand really. "I mean, I wouldn't say no to someone like you.." He smiled warmly before he looked away

Odette blushed and looked up at him, "You think I'm beautiful?" She asked quietly aa she studied him.

"Absolutely.. For sure one of the most beautiful in the city." He said warmly while he looked at her again and met her gaze.
"it seems like you're -- I don't know, a litte suprised?! Haven't people said that to you before?"

Odette blushed at his other compliment and then frowned, "Well, no not exactly....at least if they did, they only said it cause they want something." She said quietly and then smiled at him again, "Thank you." She said softly.

Phoebus smiled and looked at her for a moment- and didn't really cared if he stared. But once one of the maids came into the room to take the empty plates, Phoebus cleared his throat and stood up.
"Well.. This has been fun, but I think I've to go out for a moment. You know, The captain has duties" He laughed slightly while he walked over next to her- and took her hand gently to give it a little kiss on top of it.
"I guess I will see you later?"

She blushed again and smiled up at him, "I guess you may see me again." She said lightly and then looked down at their still clasped hands, "May I have my hand back?" She asked gently as she looked back up at him.

"Heh.. Of course" He chuckled and let go of her hand as he took a few steps back.
"Goodbye, Miss Odette" Phoebus winked before he left the room, and out through the front door. ..

"Good-bye." She whispered and then got up, she had things she needed to do.
