Lay your head down child [Shared Fanfic with Odette/Herc]

"Geez, thanks for the concern mr. Grumpy," she rolled her eyes. "Anyway, I'll just give the ruby to some-"
The door tot he room opened and she went quiet, looking towards the two men who had enterd.
They were big, but they still felt intimdated by Jospeh. "Change of plans,they want the gilr now."

Joseph turned to face them, "Oh well then I guess this conversation is over with." He said and entered the cell where he unchained the girl and pulled her out.

She didn't resist this time, strangely enough. But before they reached the other men standing by the door she pulled at his arm, beckoning for him to bend down closer so she could tell him something.
"If you get me out now and kill that knight, the ruby is yours," she whisperd.

Joseph sighed and then straightened before he glared at the two guards, "I don't need an escort, I can take care of the prisoner myself." He snapped.

The guards looked uneasy at eachother but nodded and quikcly left the room. Michael wouldn't mind if his twin took care of this... right?

Esme smiled widely up at Jospeh. "Great! Let's get out of here then get this over with!"

Joseph sighed, "One....don't make any noise and two I'm only doing this for that ruby." He growled, if he didn't get his money's worth then the girl would regret it.

"No problem!" she sang happily but quickly hushed herself. "I'll be so quiet you won't even notice me!" she whisperd, a finger to her lips.
She smiled brightly up at him and took his hands, waiting for him to lead the way.

Joseph grimaced and shook her hands off of him before he led the way, he knew that the little brat wouldn't lose this chance to escape. And as much as he knew his brother would resent this....he just wanted the money.

Not minding having her hand shaken off she happily skipped after him and garbbed him by the bakc of his shirt instead.
Of course she kne whe only did this for the moeny, but hey she was getting out wasn't she? And she was getting rid of that good for nothing knight.

Korso paused and then glared back down at her, "Don't touch me or any part of my clothing.....otherwise I will take you back to my brother. Understand?" He growled.

She just pouted childishly and let go. "Grumpy old man," she teased. "It's like you're afraid of being tocuhed."

Joseph stopped in his tracks before he turned on her again, "Lets get one fact straight kid....I don't owe you any favors and the last thing I need is some nosy brat. So if you keep talking I will take you to my brother and he will make sure you get sold." He said darkly.

She blinked up at him, not really expecting him to take it so damn seriously. He really didn't ahve a sense of humor...
She pouted again and hung her head and waited for him to keep going.
"There's nothing wrong with being afraid though..." she mumbled quietly.

Joseph just ignored her and kept walking, besides being afraid of being touched wasn't his real fear.....he just didn't like being touched. Fear had nothing to do with it....

As they kept walking in silence, Esme noticed a familiar room and stopped for a second. She ehard crying, mostly from girls who ahd to be at leats afew younger than herself.

Joseph rolled his eyes when she saw why she had stopped, "Unless you want to join them I suggest we keep moving." He said with a shake of his head.

She teared her eyes away from the room and quikcly caught up with him, walking silently beside him again.
"Do you know who's... buying them?"

He shrugged, "It depends....but for the most part nope I don't know...nor do I care."{ He said flatly as he kept walking.

"Figures," she giggled. "Then I'll just ahve to figure thta out myself. In that way, they'll own me one after I saved them."

He sighed, "And what makes you think you'll be able to save them when they're surrounded by some of the toughest soldiers?" He asked as he rolled his eyes again.

"Ha! The only one's who are toguh here for real are you and your clone, the others just pretends to be. Besides they'll all a bunch of idiots anyway," she said overly confident.

Joseph shook his head, "Trust me....my brother and I handpicked all of them. And while some of them may be idiots....they're all killers." He said darkly.

"Still, and idiot's an idiot," she reapeted. "...are we out of this giant mansion soon?!"

He sighed, "We could have been out a hell of a lot sooner if you hadn't stopped to gawk at the sights." He said darkly as he led her towards the exit.

"Hey, sorry for being human and have feelings," she rolled ehr eyes and skipped out through the excit. She smiled and twirled around, inhaling the fresh air and not mindig the cold night air.
