'I told you so' [Tag Ariel]

Ariel smiled softly as he spoke, and it seemed like he had found something he liked to do- even though he says it's boring. Once he mentioned that he will take her out for a ride, Ariel's smile grw bigger.
"Really? Are you allowed to do that"? She asked and looked down at him.
"And how about-- Eric? Have you met him yet?.." Ariel said in a small sigh

He smiled reausringly up at her. "I'm sure the princess wouldn't mind."
His smile fell when his cousin came up. "Well, he works there at the stalls, and he sucpets me to try and kill him as soon as he looks away," he shrugged. "I won't do. Not inside the palace," he said coldly.

"So he's kinda afraid of you?" Ariel asked, and felt a little glad over it.
"But how do you feel? Aren't you scared that he would do something to you?"

"I don't think he's afraid of me, but more for what i might do," he mumbled. "And I'm not scared of scum like him. aftre growing up with my old man and that sikco brotherof his..." his eyes darkned for a moment. "...it gets hard to fear other people. Even if you should. And he wouldn't be able to do anything to me anyway."

"What do you mean with that?" Ariel asked when he said that Eric couldn't do anything to him.
"I know that you have been-- trained, but there are still a chance that someone comes up behind you, and you wouldn't notice.." Ariel said quietly as she thought about it.

"Don't worry about that Ariel, I may nto look like it but I'm very attentive of my surroundings. And a guy like him wouldn't be able to sneak up on me," he said with confidence and a little cocky.

"Oh, okay.." Ariel said quietly with a little nod, but she still didn't think that he should act like that. You should never underestimate your enemies..
"So, uhm.. You have started to like horses?" Ariel asked, and began to smile softly.

He raised an eyebrow. "Hourses? Well, cleaning them up and after thme is a pain in the ass, but riding is pretty fun I guess,2 he said with a small. "You always wnated to learn right?"

"yes.!" Ariel said with a wide smile, but it faded slightly when she started to think about the only time she had been on a horse was at the night at the ball- with Eric, and.... She inhaled quickly to get rid of the thought and smiled down at Jim again.
"Do you think you know enough to teach me?" She asked with tease in her voice

He frowned a little when her smile faded. "I know more than enough I'm sure," he assured her and returned the smile. "I'm a natural~"

"A natural? sureee" Ariel teased with a wide smile and winked at him.
"But sure, I would love to learn. And it woud be nice to leave the town for a couple of hours." She said with a little nod.
"Just you and me, right?!"

"Of course. Just you and me," he said warmly and cupped her cheek lovingly. "No one else."

Ariel smiled widely and ran her hand through her hair before she placed her hand on his.
"I can bring some food from the tavern so that we can have a small picnik.." She said slightly dreamingly.
"Do you know where we can go?"

He thoguth for a moment. "Well actually. Yes there is," he said brigthly. "On top of a hill, where no one ever comes to. It's really beautiful there."

"That sounds perfect.." She said with a warm smile and just wanted to do it now- but she knew that her shoulder needed to heal a little first.
"So are you more friends with the Princess yet? Do you think I'll ever meet her?"

"I haven't met her in a while, but I wouldn't mind seeing ehr again," he said fondly when remebering the unusal royal. "I'm sure you will one day, she would love to meet you too."

"Really? What makes you think that? Does she know about me?" Ariel asked a bit nervously when she thought that even the Princess herself knew who Ariel was. And she was slightly worried if she knew the good things about her, or the bad ones..
"But-- what do you say to a Princess? I'll do a complete fool out of myself.." she sighed

Jim turned to lay on his side so she wouldn't see his blushing face. "Um, let's just say I'm accidental brigin you up from time to time," he mumbled shyly. "And I wouldn't worry about that. If a jerk like me amanges to make firends with her, she'll be all over you the second she hears you talk," he chuckled. "Besides, she wants to be treated like us commoners."

"Really?.." Ariel said and started to blush herself when he said that he talked about her.
"And even though she wants to be treated like one - she's still the Princess, you can't say whatever you like to her.." She sighed once again, but it still felt a little better what Jim said..
"Have you met her sister or the Prince yet then? They should be around her like-- all the time.."

"Of course I haven't," he said as if was the most obvious thing. "And she ahd sneaked out of the palace then, even the future queen thinks the royals life are boring."

"Of course it isn't boring.." Ariel said with a little frown, even though she had no idea how their life looked like -but she guessed that it couldn't be that bad.
"Ahd if you ever meet the others, let me know.."

"Um, sure," he promised and nodded, not really seeing the point or why it was so important. But if it was big deal to her, then he wouldn't keep quiet about it.

"Thank you.." Ariel said with a polite nod before she stood up and started to take away the bandage and stuff that was left from when Jim had cleaned her wound.
"Has something else happen to you?.. Met any new friends?" She asked softly

"Not really. Though I met this little weird and funny kid," he mumbled, recallig his little intresting meeting with Mowgli, who ahd decided he wnated to become like Jim. "and then I had this cooking contest with Smith, if you remember that annoying blonde knight," he mutterd.

"A knight? Jim, are you serious?" Ariel asked, and if she've had things in her hands, she would've dropped them.
"Are you crazy? You was with a knight?" She burst out and shook her head like she couldn't believe it.
