Whatever his past hid, Marina wanted to know, she wanted to understand him better, and that he would share anything with her, it didn't matter if it was bad or good. She was there for him, for anything he needed.

"Because, I don't want to talk about it, Marina," John said sternly, his green hues hardening as he looked away. He swallowed the lump in his throat and shook his head. "I just got my head back together, and only to some degree. Let's not ruin it," He muttered before sighing and kissing the top of her head.
