"Good for you. Then there's still a chance for you," he mutterd, thinking he was finally able to leave. "Next time we see eachother won't be this easy. So use your present nicely."
He nodded towards the knife on the floor and left the room.
Now he was more sure about all this. FInally that woman would be out of the picture. At least for a long while.

Odette sagged in relief once he had left, she doubted she could have held her own against him for much longer. She sighed and sank to the floor studying the knife in her hands....a new feeling started to fill her...hope.
